A kingfisher at Medina Park

Kingfishers are notoriously difficult to get close to; I've never been able to get closer than about 25 yards. I was very surprised to see him perched on a branch 10 feet above a stream, about 15 feet from the path. I was able to get within about 25 feet, and snapped a dozen or so photos before he flew away.
